Project Management for Website Builds & Inbound Marketing Retainers

About You

You love building relationships with clients, helping to keep them informed of their project status and to listen to their inputs and feedback to ensure we continue to work towards their goals. You are a team player and can balance the client's best interests with our team's capabilities. You are comfortable saying 'no' to clients and team members and can find a constructive solution to any problem. You are insanely organized and can find internal resources in a heartbeat because hey, you saw that they could use a little structure and you built that structure into your project. 

In this role, it is critical that you have foundational know-how of digital marketing so you can communicate how the different elements of our campaigns work together. You will be supported by a team of strategists and specialists in these areas but will need to know enough to work directly with the client.

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager at CRO:NYX Digital, you ensure that our projects and retainers are delivering the services that we were contracted for and that they’re being delivered on time and on budget. Your role requires collaboration with your client and with your team.

The Day-to-Day:

Managing Client Communications & Deliverables

While clients objectives may vary, this role is similar across all accounts as you will work with the client and the team to ensure that we’re fulfilling our commitments to the client. You will hold the keys to delivery and are a critical player in our operations. Your day to day will require:

  • Communicating with clients in a timely manner via zoom, email or Slack
  • Reviewing all completed tasks and acting as the gatekeeper for quality control before sending to the client
  • Managing client budgets with your project plans to balance ad hoc client requests with agreed upon strategic tactics within the agreed upon budget and communicating those budget limits with the client to agree upon how the budget is to be spent
  • Proactively identify and remove barriers to success
  • Identifying areas to advance and deepen our client engagements
  • Communicating opportunities to improve the client experience with our leadership team

Team Development, Growth & Retention

You will work directly with our team members and will have key insights into how we can continue to strengthen our team in a way that aligns with our mission, vision, and values. In this role you will work with internal team members:

  • Communicating with team members in a timely manner via zoom or Slack
  • Properly communicating requirements and tasks in ClickUp and coordinating with our team resources to ensure they’re able to complete them
  • Ensuring project plans & budgets are up-to-date, which allows us to align resources properly
  • Providing time is accurately logged to gather project and deliverable cost/value
  • Ensuring that work is consistently free of errors or issues and delivered with excellence
  • Ensuring your team follows critical processes and effectively utilizes our systems
  • Identifying team member issues and escalating as needed
  • Advising and coordinating with leadership on hire, fire and promotion decisions for consultants
  • Demonstrating the ability to cultivate commitment, team spirit, and trust.
  • Being fully accountable for the workload management and performance of yourself and of any direct reports

Build the CRO:NYX Digital Brand & Your Own Personal Brand

We are building a reputation as trusted experts through the contributions of our team members through content, sharing their voice, and gaining and showcasing client praise. An essential part of your role is continuing to maintain and build the CRO:NYX Digital brand through:

  • Practicing your craft by contributing to our blog once per month
  • Engaging in social media as a brand representative
  • Adding to award submissions by showcasing your client’s work
  • Documenting client case studies for marketing use with a goal of 1 per quarter
  • Generating 5-star reviews or the equivalent on partner or third-party review sites

Performance & Measurement for the Role

Performance is measured across several dimensions that are key to the role, including:

  • Meeting minimum revenue under management targets (measured quarterly)
  • Maintaining project profitability goals
  • Client retention/churn
  • Customer satisfaction and our brand reputation
  • Development, growth, and retention of their consulting team

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree is required
  • 7+ years experience in project management, or in building comprehensive digital and traditional marketing campaigns
  • 2+ years of agency or client services experience a bonus 
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to strategize and execute
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and independent management skills
  • Proven relationship-building skills and client communication experience
  • Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing approaches and web development processes
  • Desire to learn on your own and keep up with inbound marketing and internet marketing developments and best practices
  • Great writing skills and strong communication skills
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Experience working remotely in similar roles
